Nausėda in Strasbourg: we feel it is our duty to extend symbolically the Baltic Way

President Gitanas Nausėda in Strasbourg has assured of Lithuania’s readiness to be one of the European Union (EU) leaders in the EU’s further fight against Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

In his address to the plenary session of the European Parliament on Tuesday, the Lithuanian president highlighted the historical experiences of Lithuania and other Baltic States with the Kremlin regime.
“Lithuania will always work to be at the forefront of European decisions. This is our commitment not only to Europe but also to ourselves. We know better than anyone else what the risk of losing Europe means, we are making every effort to keep Europe strong and resilient,” Nausėda said in his address to members of the European Parliament.
