Nausėda after meeting UK’s PM: British government well aware of Russia’s threat

The government of the United Kingdom understands threats posed by Russia and the importance of enhanced security very well, President Gitanas Nausėda said after a meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday.

“We first spoke about security as it was the reason for our gathering here. In terms of security, I would say that the UK’s government is really very close to us in the sense that it is very well aware of Russia’s threat, understands the importance of regional security and certain measures on the eastern NATO flank that should be adopted right here and right now,” Nausėda told reporters in Riga on Monday.
