MP: Seimas of this term will not raise retirement age

MP Justas Džiugelis, head of the Seimas Committee on Social Afairs and Labour, says that the Seimas is currently not considering the prolongation of the retirement age to 72 years. According to him, there are other ways to use the existing “potential for the labour market” to ensure the required number of working people.

A relaxed immigration regime is a more suitable solution than the prolongation of the retirement age, the MP said.
