Meeting between presidents of Baltic States focused on forthcoming NATO summit in Vilnius and infrastructure projects

In Riga, President Gitanas Nausėda met with President Alars Karis of Estonia and President Egils Levits of Latvia to discuss the key issues of regional security, Russia’s war against Ukraine, and the implementation of key joint infrastructure projects – synchronisation of the electricity grids with continental Europe and the development of the Rail Baltica project – said the Office of the President.

The Lithuanian leader called on the Baltic countries to closely coordinate their positions, goals and ambitions, starting with the preparations for the NATO Summit in Vilnius in July 2023.
