Lithuanian troops will train in Slovak military training areas

On Thursday and Friday, Lithuania’s Chief of Defence Lt Gen Valdemaras Rupšys paid a visit to Slovakia where he met with Chief of the General Staff of the Slovak Armed Forces General Daniel Zmeko, the Lithuanian Armed Forces announce.

“We had a very specific talk with the Slovak chief of defence on how our Armed Forces could broaden the range of cooperation. We agreed to share our experiences in the development of the countries’ training units and that we will have the opportunity to train Lithuanian troops at the Slovakian Lešť Training Area,” Rupšys says.
