Lithuanian leaders agree on "key principles" for EC talks on Kaliningrad transit

Lithuanian leaders met at the Presidential Palace on Monday and agreed on "key principles and provisions" for consultations with the European Commission on how to implement the EU sanctions for Russia regarding the transit of sanctioned goods to Kaliningrad, presidential adviser Kestutis Budrys said after the meeting.

The meeting took place as the EC's updating its guidelines on the implementation of the sanctions.

"There was unanimous agreement today on the key principles and provisions Lithuania should follow in order to clarify certain points to the European Commission," the adviser told reporters, without specifying those principles and provisions.
