Another ten trucks are scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year, meaning that the four-year commitment will be met earlier.

Lithuania's Defense Materiel Agency and Lithuanian company Veho Lietuva, the official representative of Daimler AG, signed the contract for the purchase of 25 trucks in January, 2020.

"The special-purpose trucks are used for military logistical operations, as well as to prepare for military operations and carry out other defense functions," the ministry said.

According to the National Defense Ministry, the Lithuanian army has been upgrading its fleet in recent years and earlier acquired Zetros 3643 and Unimog U5000 trucks from Daimler AG.
