Lithuania’s 14-day case notification rate now stands at almost 261 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, down by 27 cases from last week, according to the center’s data update published on Thursday.

The first among 30 countries is the Czech Republic with the 14-day case notification rate of 1,120 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Estonia (around 703) and Slovakia (526),

As regards the 14-day death notification rate, Lithuania comes in 9th with around 80 deaths per 1,000,000 inhabitants, down by 11 deaths over a week.

Portugal comes first with around 239 deaths per million population, followed by the Czech Republic with almost 187 deaths and Portugal with 156 deaths.

Meanwhile, the best rates among the countries monitored by the ECDC continue to be found in Iceland (almost 8 new infections and no deaths), Lichtenstein (62 cases and 52 deaths)), Norway (70 cases and five deaths), Finland (112 cases and six deaths) and Denmark (110 infections and 22 deaths).
