Lawmakers will not be asked to delete messaging apps from their smartphones

The Board of the Seimas will not instruct lawmakers to uninstall Signal and other messaging apps from their smartphones and laptops because this is not in its competence.

Earlier, MP Linas Jonauskas appealed to the Board of the Seimas after it transpired that then MP Kristijonas Bartoševičius messaged Conservative MP Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė on the Signal app on 20 January about his intention to resign.
