Lawmakers to discuss issue of Facebook blocking Ukraine supporters’ posts

The Seimas Committee on National Security and Defence, representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, social media experts and public figures on Wednesday will discuss the issue of Facebook blocking accounts and posts supporting Ukraine.

MP Laurynas Kasčiūnas says the Committee decided to address the issue as it transpired that the social media platform is blocking and banning users openly supporting Ukraine, which is fighting against Russia’s invasion. The MP calls to eliminate algorithm loopholes so that Ukraine’s supporters would not be silenced.
