Latvian Foreign Ministry bans TikTok on official devices

The Latvian Foreign Ministry has banned the use of the Chinese short video platform TikTok on official mobile phones and other official devices for security reasons.

This is a preventive measure recommended by the ministry’s internal security service, a spokeswoman told Latvian Radio in Riga on Thursday. TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance.
