Landsbergis: Iran is becoming Russia’s accomplice in war against Ukraine

As the European Union vows to impose sanctions on Iran due to brutal crackdown on protesters, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis notes that Iran is also becoming Russia’s accomplice in the war against Ukraine.

Prior to the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg, the minister said Monday that the sanctions related to what is happening in Iran would be the right step but the EU should not stop there because Iran’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine is becoming similar to the role of Belarus.
