Laisves TV raises EUR 5 mln for Ukraine's Bayraktar drone

"Now we can really celebrate," Andrius Tapinas, the campaign's initiator, said during a live broadcast. He also thanked all people who contributed and donated money for this cause.

In total, over 5,065,000 euros was raised and the amount is still growing. The initiators of this campaign managed to raise the necessary amount in less than four days.

Laisves TV plans to transfer the money raised to Lithuania's Ministry of National Defense and its representatives will travel to Turkey next week to negotiate and sign a letter of intent.

Ukraine has been fighting the invading Russian forces for more than three months, but is facing a shortage of weapons and is calling on Western countries to send more of them.
