Labour Party’s municipal election candidate detained over 500 grams of hashish

Law enforcement has detained Edvinas Garackevičius, the Labour Party’s leading candidate in upcoming municipal elections in Druskininkai, on suspicion of possessing more than 0.5 kg of hashish.

The news agency ELTA has learned from Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office that the politician and another person who was travelling in a car face allegations of unlawful possession of a very large quantity of narcotic or psychotropic substances with a goal of distribution.
