The drills, organized by the Klaipeda-based Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonas Karolis Chodkevicius Infantry Brigade Griffin, is taking place in the harbor and in the city, the Lithuanian Armed Forces have said in a press release.

The exercise also involves military personnel from the Juozas Vitkus Engineering Battalion and the Lithuanian Air Force's Air Defense Battalion, as well as allies from Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1) and the Portuguese rotational force deployed to Lithuania.

The aim of the exercise is to train to defend the port using infantry, air defense and explosive ordnance disposal units and coordinate actions between Lithuanian and allied troops.
