Dentists are also allowed to resume their services, and small outdoor events are allowed.

Up until now, only a small portion of kindergartens have accepted children of parents who have cannot work from home. The education minister hopes children will return to pre-school establishments gradually.

Catering businesses, restaurants, cafes, bars, night clubs and other entertainment venues are allowed to operate from 8 a.m, until 10 p.m. Casinos and other gaming establishments are also allowed to operate within these hours.

Up until now only outdoor cafes have been allowed to reopen.

The government is also relaxing the quarantine rules for sports activities. Starting Monday, professional athletes will no longer be required to maintain physical distancing while exercising, and gyms are allowed to reopen. Measuring visitors' temperature is recommended.

Gyms will have to ensure at least 5 square meters per visitor and make sure that they are located at least two meters apart. Group exercises will be limited to ten people unless they are members of the same family.

All staff, including sports instructors and coaches, will have to wear face masks, respirators or other equipment indoors.

Starting from Monday, children are able to return to informal education groups. To ensure safety, groups will be limited to ten children and only healthy kids will be admitted. A space of at least five meters per child will have to be ensured indoors.

The ministry recommends that all children have their body temperature measured before entering. All staff members are advised to keep their noses and mouths covered indoors.

Outdoor events involving up to 30 people are also allowed as of Monday, keeping a distance among participants.

Lithuania was placed under wide-scale quarantine on March 16 to stop the spread of the coronavirus and it was later extended until May 31.
