Former president of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, who held office in 2009-2019, trusts Germany’s commitment to deploy its brigade in Lithuania. She therefore calls on the Lithuanian government to be more diplomatic and prepare the infrastructure need for Allied troops.
Grybauskaitė: Germany will honour its commitment to deploy brigade

Grybauskaitė told reporters Sunday that Berlin keeps its promises as proved by her experience of working with Germany, when in 2016-2017 an agreement was reached on the deployment of NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion.
“I know that what the German Government promises, regardless which one, it will be implemented. This means that Lithuania must simply do its homework and everything [the brigade] will be in time in Lithuania as agreed,” Grybauskaitė told reporters Sunday.
