Formin urges all Lithuanian institutions to stop using Chinese app TikTok

Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas has declared that his ministry is following recommendations and its staff is no longer using Chinese video sharing app TikTok. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it banned the app on service phones in autumn 2022.

The MFA made the decision to minimise security risks taking into account the position of Western partners and assessing cybersecurity threats posed by the app. Now Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis calls on other Lithuanian institutions to stop using the app on their service phones, too.
