Ex-PM calls commissioned articles in Financial Times scandalous

MP Saulius Skvernelis, the chairman of the Democrats For Lithuania, says that the situation is both “scandalous and absurd” referring to media reports on a series of articles about Lithuania in the Financial Times paid for by Invest Lithuania, the country’s investment promotion agency under the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

The former prime minister stresses that there is nothing wrong with publishing commissioned content. However, it becomes a kind of deception of people when the fact of purchase is concealed, Skvernelis noted.
