"We aren't going to revise the priorities," the minister told reporters.
"But we're already starting [to give shots to] age groups, 55 plus and 45 plus, and we're are going to have completely free registration sometime in May and we'll be dealing with another problem, which is to have enough people willing to take the vaccine."
Lithuania is currently administering shots to seniors and some professions involving direct contact with people. Some municipalities, including Vilnius, have also started vaccinating all people aged over 55 years.
Last week, Dulkys decided to redistribute newly-delivered vaccines, giving more doses to the capital, which is in the worst epidemiological situation now, and forcing some municipalities to pause the scheduling of vaccination appointments.
The minister said on Thursday that he had taken the decision in response to the latest information, adding that the ministry was starting to distribute new doses to vaccination centers.
"Today we have restarted the distribution of new vaccines," he said. "I believe all vaccination centers will have additional vaccines soon."
Lithuania has received a total of 1,400,705 vaccines so far. Some 1,280,605 of the doses have been delivered to vaccination centers across the country and 910,101 have been administered, based on the latest statistics.
