Savickas said at the meeting that Vilnius city has great potential and with proper management would become more attractive to potential investors and local residents alike.

Presenting his election programme, the politician said that major projects in the city must be not only promoted at launch but also successfully completed.

He intends to focus on employment and higher salaries. Savickas said his priorities also include the revival of public spaces, adding that the city’s neighbourhoods must be green and sustainable, while social and healthcare services must be accessible to everyone.

Having graduated from Maastricht University and the University of York, Savickas worked at the Investors’ Forum, Invest Lithuania and Create Lithuania, later becoming the first deputy chancellor of the Government and an MP elected for the 2020-2024 term of office. He is also the chairman of Vilnius branch of Democrats For Lithuania.
