Five samples from the farm, which has nearly 12,000 minks, were tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday and four of them were positive, it said.

The service will now investigate how the animals were infected.

It is Lithuania's third mink farm hit by the coronavirus. The first outbreak was detected on a farm in the central district of Jonava last November, and the second one was confirmed in the northern district of Radviliskis in December.
