Court orders to close International Good Neighbourhood Forum as unlawful organisation that acted against Lithuania

On 20 February, Vilnius Regional Court satisfied the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office in a civil case to liquidate the association the International Good Neighbourhood Forum, which was illegally established by Algirdas Paleckis in 2022 while in prison for spying for Russia.

Judge Enrika Janušonienė stated on Monday that the ruling was adopted and prosecutors’ request was granted because the association’s goal was to act against Lithuania and regulations of its founding were violated.
