Data published by Statistics Lithuania indicates that 1,091 people contracted the virus for the first time, 361 for the second time and 7 for the third time.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 1,179,372 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Currently, 15,805 people are ill.

The death toll due to COVID-19 in Lithuania stands at 9,205.

The average number of new daily cases in the last 7 days is 1,015. The incidence rate per 100,000 residents in the last 14 days is 442.7. The positive test rate in the last 7 days stands at 50.6%.

On Tuesday, 210 residents were vaccinated against COVID-19: 64 with the first vaccine dose, 40 with the second dose and 95 with the third dose.

Fifteen people were hospitalised due to COVID-19 on Tuesday and now 115 hospital beds allocated for coronavirus patients are occupied. Five other patients are undergoing treatment in intensive care units.

On 26 July, 319 molecular PCR tests, 2,210 antigen tests and 144 antibody tests were carried out.
