Based on the data published by Statistics Lithuania, 845 people contracted COVID-19 for the first time, 254 for the second time and 12 for the third time.

The total number of confirmed cases in Lithuania has increased to 1,172,186 since the outbreak of the pandemic. Currently, 11,028 people are ill.

The death toll due to COVID-19 stands at 9,124. Two people died on 19 July. One was from the age group of 40-49 years, the other was from the age group of 90-99 years and both were not vaccinated.
The average number of new daily cases in the last 7 days is 745. The incidence rate per 100,000 residents in the last 14 days is 311.4. The positive test rate in the last 7 days stands at 45.9%.

On Tuesday, 193 people were vaccinated against coronavirus: 43 with the first dose, 52 with the second dose and 88 with a booster shot.

Twenty patients were hospitalised with COVID-19 on Tuesday and now 114 hospital beds allocated for coronavirus patients are occupied. Nine patients are being treated in intensive care units.

On Tuesday, 274 molecular PCR tests, 1,749 antigen tests and 161 antibody tests were carried out.
