Conservatives deny informing former MP about pre-trial investigation against him

It has transpired that Conservative MP Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė called then MP Kristijonas Bartoševičius when the latter was on a secondment in Chile but denies knowing that he was being investigated for child abuse.

“On Friday [20 January], Bartoševičius sent me a message that he was stepping down from the Seimas. I called him the same day to inquire whether he has finally made up his mind because he expressed such intentions a number of times in the past,” Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, chairwoman of the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrat (TS-LKD) Political Group in the Seimas, wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
