Čmilytė-Nielsen: no decisions of the Russian Duma will change approach of Lithuania and other democratic countries towards integrity of Ukraine

At her meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta, Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen noted that the decisions of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on annexing the territories of Ukraine would never be recognised. Pseudo-referendums will never get recognition either, stated the Office of the Seimas.

“The regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia have belonged and will belong to Ukraine. The steps taken by the Russian Federation constitute a gross breach of all international agreements and international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the Constitution of Ukraine,” stressed the Speaker of the Seimas.
