Chief of defence reveals: Lithuania is expected to acquire at least 50 tanks

Lithuania’s Chief of Defence Lieutenant General Valdemaras Rupšys has confirmed the statements made earlier by Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas that it is planned to form a division-sized unit in the Armed Forces.

According to Rupšys, although Lithuania already has the majority of capabilities needed for that, yet it would still need to acquire at least 50 tanks so that the division could carry out a wide range of tasks.
