The Lithuanian Armed Forces have reassured the public that current military activity in Belarus does not affect the security situation in Lithuania amid reports that on the night from 20 to 21 February four columns of military vehicles in Belarus moved towards the border with Lithuania.

“We constantly monitor and analyse military activity in Belarus. The current activity has no influence on Lithuania’s security situation. Lithuanian military analysts also note that information from unverified sources is not always correct,” the Lithuanian Armed Forces told the news agency ELTA in a comment.
