Anušauskas: drawing red lines on weapon deliveries to Ukraine not productive

There is no sense in drawing a red line says National Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas in his comment on Germany’s decision to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine which ruled out the delivery of combat aircraft or the deployment of ground troops.

Anušauskas is confident that if the situation on the warfront changed, the military support would change accordingly.
“Drawing lines is not productive at all, not even in terms of rhetoric, because things are changing. If the situation on the Ukrainian front were to change, we would see very different lines,” the defence minister said at the TV3 programme Dėmesio centre late Wednesday.
