“Dominykas Barauskas, a defender from FC Riteriai, got sick with the coronavirus. The player has been isolated from the team and will not take part in the upcoming match,” a press release from the federation said.

The football player felt good and did not feel any symptoms, the federation said adding that it had also notified UEFA about this case.

The Lithuanian national football team will on Tuesday go to Estonia for a test match with that country’s national team scheduled for Wednesday.

The Lithuanian football players will take additional coronavirus tests in Estonia.

The Lithuanian national team should play against Belarus on October 11 and against Albania three days later as part of the UEFA Nations League.
