Hockey Lietuva aims to hold world championship in Vilnius

The association Hockey Lietuva aims to host the World Ice Hockey Championship Division I Group A or Group B in Vilnius in 2024. If Lithuania is selected to host the World Ice Hockey Championship in Division I Group A, it would be the first time in the country’s sporting history, the National Sports Agency (NSA) announces.

Hockey Lietuva plans to host the championship on 20-27 April 2024. Six national teams would play in Vilnius Avia Solutions Group Arena which can house 8,000 hockey fans.
