Seimas considers whether to impeach MP Gražulis

On Tuesday, after the submission stage, the Seimas approved the proposal to launch the impeachment procedure against MP Petras Gražulis. If parliament goes ahead with the impeachment, the Constitutional Court would be addressed to consider the matter.

In the submission stage of the proposal, 63 legislators voted in favour of starting the impeachment, while 29 voted against and 17 abstained.
Gražulis, who is suspected to have voted for another MP during a Seimas sitting in 2022, questioned how the impeachment commission determined that he pressed the voting button. He claimed this could not be seen in the video footage.
