Lithuania's Migration Department has refused issuing residence permits to around 100 foreigners after cracking a plot for their arrival for sham volunteering.

The foreigners, mainly citizens of Russia, filed residence applications in Lithuania on the alleged grounds of volunteering in the Lithuanian branch of a Swedish non-profit organization Didaktik.
