At a solemn ceremony on 9 March, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė awarded twelve artists with the Government’s Culture and Arts Prize for their merits to Lithuanian culture and art.

The event was also attended by Minister of Culture Simonas Kairys, Chairman of the Seimas Committee on Culture Vytautas Juozapaitis, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and relatives of the laureates. Vocalist Neda Malūnavičiūtė and ensemble 4Tango performed at the ceremony.
