The Lithuanian Bishops' Conference halted public prayers from December 16 until January 3, and said on Thursday the existing restrictions would be extended for another week.
Churches, however, remain open and people can come to pray in private, have confessionals and receive the Holly Communion, having made arrangements with priests.
The faithful are invited to watch or listen to Masses on line, on TV or radio.
