Cardiovascular diseases, cancer tumors and external causes were the most frequent causes of death in Lithuania last year, the Hygiene Institute said in aggregate statistics on Friday.

According to the press release, the structure of causes of death has been stable for many years, with the three main causes accounting for 83.6 percent of all deaths in 2016.
