PM: if less funding for electricity and gas compensations is used, public debt will be reduced

Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė does not rule out that Lithuania may have to spend fewer funds on the mitigation of high energy costs for residents and businesses than projected in the 2023 budget. In that case, the funds would be used to reduce Lithuania’s public debt, she announced.
