Nausėda says solidarity with state natural as Finance Ministry proposes windfall tax on banks

President Gitanas Nausėda says solidarity with the state is natural in non-typical situations when exceptionally high profits are gained in certain sectors due to external circumstances.

The president said that in response to a proposal to adopt a law on temporary solidarity contributions aimed at lenders as presented by the Finance Ministry on Thursday.
