MP Andrius Mazuronis, chairman of the Labour Party, argues that introduction of “repressive measures” prohibiting Lithuanian companies from trading with Russia would be one of the options how to stop firms from doing business with the aggressor that launched a war against Ukraine.

However, the MP also says this would be ineffective because firms would still find ways how to circumvent restrictions, whereas trade with Russia could be prevented only if decisions were adopted on the European Union level, with strict regulations and monitoring by EU bodies.
