Additional crossing between Klaipėda and Karlshamn was introduced on 7th July. Combined ferry PATRIA SEAWAYS offering passenger and freight transportation will depart from Klaipėda on Saturday mornings at 8:00 am and arrive in Karlshamn on the night of the same day at 10:00 pm. It will then leave for Klaipėda at the midnight of Saturday and arrive in Klaipėda on Sunday at 4:00 pm.

"This means we increase the number of weekly departures from nine to ten. I am confident that our customers will appreciate this and see it as a real improvement of our service. Increased frequency has been on their wish list for some time as it will give them more flexibility and enable them to service their customers even better," says Anders Refsgaard, VP and Head of BU Baltic

"For some time now, we have been observing increased passenger traffic on the Swedish route, thus, introduction of additional day crossing from Lithuania will allow not only to satisfy increased demand but also to offer our passengers attractive pricing and more flexible departure times", adds Neringa Sinkevičienė, Head of Baltic Marketing Campaigns.

Additional ferry crossings will be operated till 8 September.

Within the first six months of this year, the number of passengers on DFDS Swedish route was by 10% higher than in the previous year.

DFDS has a wide network of freight and passenger ferries in Europe. Company's ferries sail from Lithuania to Karlshamn (Sweden), Kiel (Germany) and Copenhagen (Denmark). DFDS also operates routes between Estonia and Sweden and Estonia and Finland in the Baltic Sea.
