Landsbergis invited to World Economic Forum in Davos

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis has been invited to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum next year. So far Lithuania has been represented at this gathering of the world’s political and business leaders by presidents only. According to a letter addressed to the minister, the invitation of the head of Lithuanian diplomacy is based on his role in the West’s response to the Russian-led war in Ukraine.

“In the face of both the direct and indirect consequences of the war, the Forum would be very happy if you could share your vision on how to strengthen Europe’s foreign policy and security architecture, as well as on how Europe should continue to support Ukraine in the war and in its reconstruction,” reads the letter addressed to the foreign minister as confirmed by the minister’s spokeswoman Paulina Levickytė.
