In June 2022, compared with June 2021, industrial producer prices increased by 35.8% in the euro area and by 36.1% in the EU.
Industrial producer prices in the euro area in June 2022, compared with May 2022, increased by 2.7% in the energy sector, by 0.7% for durable consumer goods and non-durable consumer goods and by 0.4% for intermediate goods and for capital goods. Prices in total industry excluding energy increased by 0.4%.
In the EU, industrial producer prices increased by 3.2% in the energy sector, by 0.8% for durable consumer goods, by 0.7% for non-durable consumer goods, by 0.4% for intermediate goods and by 0.3% for capital goods. Prices in total industry excluding energy increased by 0.5%.
The highest monthly increases in industrial producer prices were recorded in Ireland (+13.2%), Lithuania (+5.2%) as well as Latvia and Finland (both +4.0%). Decreases were observed in Greece (-3.2%) and Luxembourg (-2.2%).
Industrial producer prices in the euro area in June 2022, compared with June 2021, increased by 92.8% in the energy sector, by 23.8% for intermediate goods, by 12.5% for non-durable consumer goods, by 9.5% for durable consumer goods and by 7.6% for capital goods. Prices in total industry excluding energy increased by 15.6%.
In the EU, industrial producer prices increased by 92.0% in the energy sector, by 24.1% for intermediate goods, by 13.4% for non-durable consumer goods, by 10.0% for durable consumer goods and by 7.8% for capital goods. Prices in total industry excluding energy increased by 16.2%.
The industrial producer prices increased in all Member States, with the highest yearly increases being registered in Romania (+61.2%), Denmark (+55.5%) and Lithuania (+52.5%).
