In October, consumer confidence indicator up by 1 pp

Statistics Lithuania reports that in October 2022, the consumer confidence indicator stood at minus 15 and, compared to September, increased by 1 percentage point. Compared to September, the population provided worse assessment of the changes in the household’s financial situation in the last 12 months, but slightly more optimistic expectations for the changes in the household’s financial situation and the country’s economic situation, and intended to spend more on larger purchases.

In October, the population’s assessment of the changes in the household’s financial situation in the last 12 months was slightly worse than in September: 14 percent of the population indicated improvement, 43 percent – deterioration (in September, 15 and 42 percent respectively).
