The Ministry of Energy said on Monday it had submitted a schedule of quota distribution auctions for the government's approval.
"Our goal is to bring as much clarity and transparency to those investing in green energy in Lithuania as possible and to have as many auction participants and as much of competition as possible. The approved auction schedule will allow investors to evaluate their possibilities and properly prepare for all auctions," Energy Minister Zygimantas Vaiciunas said in a statement.
According to the ministry, Lithuania will reach its goal of having 38 percent of the electricity used in the country made from renewable sources by 2025, once the whole electricity volume is distributed.
The first so-called technologically-neutral auction was announced on Sep 2, with 0.3 TWh of electricity to be distributed.
