Amber Grid: gas supply to Latvia fully restored

The gas supply to Latvia has been fully restored after the pipeline damaged by an explosion in northern Lithuania on 13 January was fixed, the Lithuanian gas transmission system operator Amber Grid said on Monday afternoon.

Following the restoration of the damaged main gas pipeline in the Pasvalys district and the inspection of adjacent sections, gas supply capacity to Latvia was fully restored to pre-incident levels, up to 90 gigawatt hours (GWh) per day, according to a press release.
