Lithuanian Railways corporate affairs head quits over ties with ruling party

Agnė Belickaitė has resigned as head for corporate affairs at Lithuanian Railways (LTG) amid a wave of criticism of her ties with the Freedom Party and suspected nepotism.

She announced her resignation on Facebook Thursday morning.
“It is absurd. I quit because neither the railways, nor my husband, nor me myself have deserved all of this. I repeat it once again, nobody has done anything wrong in this situation. The competition was open, transparent and professional. I wish all good health and let us support Ukraine,” Belickaitė wrote on her social media.
